Sun City is a sprawling holiday resort in South Africa located in the North West Province between the rivers Pilanesberg and Elands. The Casino at the Sun City is one of the most active in the country and at the spot where every tourist wants to be. At the casino, you will find hundreds of slot machines and over 40 table games including favorites such as black jack, roulette and poker. The Soho Hotel  offers separate areas for smokers and non-smokers.

The hotel complex combines four hotels to give different ambiances according to guests’ holidaying preferences. Cabanas, Cascades, Palace of The Lost City and Soho Hotel all have spacious rooms and amazing views of the lush South African wildness with waterfronts and cascades as part of your enchanting stay.

The hotel is packed with facilities to keep guests entertained and active all throughout their stay. Two 18-hole golf courses are the primary focus when the Nedbank Golf Challenge arrives. Other facilities include The Gary Player Country Club, Zip 2000, Motseng Cultural Village, and Kwena Gardens. Aside from the amenities, visitors also get a chance to enjoy a bit of South African night life with all the events and concerts hosted at Sun City.

The casino game roulette was invented in the 17th century in France. It is believed that the game, or a simple version of it, was introduced by none other than Blaise Pascal, the renowned French mathematician. The game is played by placing bets of varying types on the number the ball will land in following the spinning of the wheel. Aside from the numerical value, a player can bet on groups of numbers, odd and even numbers and the color the ball lands on. The green zero (or zeroes) essentially provides the slight house edge.

The game starts when the croupier spins the wheel in one direction and the ball in another. As the ball spins around the tiled track, it loses momentum and drops in one of 38 (37 in European and French versions) sections on the wheel. As stated, players can choose to place inside bets where they select the number which the ball will land on or a set of numbers depending on how close they are to each other around the wheel. You can also bet on odd or even numbers. This is part of the outside best which also includes betting on the pocket color.

Mike Ashley is known to be one of the biggest winners in a casino playing roulette. The billionaire New Castle Football Club owner won £1.3 million from a single spin in 2008. Some roulette winners use the martingale system when playing. This technique involves doubling up your wager each time you lose a bet. In theory this can keep players ticking along nicely, but reality hits home if you find yourself in a bad run. For instance it’s not uncommon for a color to come out 7 or 8 times in a row. If you happen to be doubling up on the other color, you’ll have suffered devastating loses.

It cannot be denied that we’re living in strange times. If you’d have told me a year back that we’d be having lockdowns, wearing masks and dousing ourselves in hand sanitiser at every turn I’d have told you that you were mad. But here we are navigating this new (and hopefully temporary!) normal.

So much of the world was on hold for months that it really does bring to the fore all of those little things we enjoy which help us make the most of our free time. One favorite and occasional past-time of mine was to head down the coast with my brothers to play roulette and blackjack. Alas, that too of course was put on pause for the longest time and so I had to instead improvise.

While finding work arounds in some areas is a challenge, thankfully the popularity of casino gaming ensures that there are viable online alternatives where every one of your favorite casino games (from roulette, and slots, to poker and blackjack) can be played from the comfort or your own home in the simple click of a mouse button. Simple right?

Well, yes and no. Yes, in that signing up to an online casino site is a formality, but no because not all casino websites are created equal. There are various sign up bonuses, ongoing promotions and the like at any given time and it can be a challenge to know when and where to take advantage of these. That’s where options like the online casinos list come in. The site curates and compares the very best casino sites out there in an easy to understand format. Should you be looking for promotions like free spins, or hefty welcome bonuses it’s all there in an easy to digest format. Even aspects like wagering requirements are listed so you get the full picture of when you’ll be able to withdraw your bonus.

Once you’ve found the casino option that’s right for you it’s time to sit back, forget your worries and play to win. In these crazy days we should all be aiming for a bit of me time and I can think of no better way than by winning big on my favorite casino game in the comfort of my own home!
